Since 1983, OFS has hosted the annual Olympia Film Festival, a ten-day around-the-clock extravaganza of films, filmmakers and film-related guests, special performances, discussion panels, and educational workshops. While the festival is well known and respected throughout the film world, the effort that goes into making it happen is completely local, from the many hours and days put in by our dedicated volunteers to the generous support of local businesses. The festival attracts between 5,000 and 7,000 attendees each year.

The 6th Annual Olympia Youth and Young Adult Expression Fest
$5.00 Each night and $8.00 for weekend pass available at the box office night of show!
The Olympia Film Society is presenting What you got! The 6th Annual Olympia Youth and Young Adult Expression Fest. It is the goal of this festival to foster the vitality of our community by providing a venue for vivacious and creative youth. In regards to inspiring a variety of youth self-expression, this festival is a 2 day celebration of youth-teen culture; showcasing movies, bands, and artwork made and performed by folks 21 and younger. Bands featured during the festival include: Violet Flame Meditation, Thought Bandit, The Gypsies, Repeaters, Rattle Snack, Patterns, Outlook, Grab the Bat Killer, and some super cool “kids” ages 11-14 from the Rythm Fire School Band , Mythological Horses, Kick in the Pants, Ciel, and Centralia College
