CinemaDivina is an emerging body of contemplative short works created by experimental media artist, Marilyn Freeman. Originally produced in the context of a Benedictine spirituality center, each film is created through and for a contemplative practice based on the ancient prayer process, lectio divina (sacred reading). Many have found CinemaDivina to open hearts, inspire insights, and engage imagination. Join the filmmaker and Sister Lucy Wynkoop of St. Placid Priory for a screening of these works and a guided meditation using this ancient practice adapted for modern media and contemporary audiences. Q & A to follow.
