October Country is an absorbing documentary that follows a year in the life of a family so haunted by the past that it is paralyzed in the present. Following the Mosher family from one Halloween into the next, the film documents the lives of each member and the rampant cycles of abuse, domestic violence, teenaged pregnancy, and addiction that plague each generation of this seemingly cursed clan. Which family member will have enough overwhelming strength to break the vicious progression of hopelessness?
