Theater Manager & Event Director- Audrey Henley

Audrey Henley has spent most of her time in the PNW music scene as a band and tour manager, as well as a booking agent for several clubs and bands in the early 90′s. Her “professional career” began as the Assistant Director at Experience Hendrix, the legendary late guitar player Jimi Hendrix’s estate producing tribute concerts and guitar competitions around the country. After settling down from too many years on the road she headed into the world of radio, passing out bumper-stickers and t-shirts at rock shows, she worked her way into promotions and became the National Promotions Director for Entercom Radio in Seattle. Tired of the being beat over the head with corporate music and the shameless promotions of mass marketed products,  she went back to the world of the live, music as booking agent at the world famous Breakroom club on Seattle’s Capitol Hill!

Since moving to Olympia in 2000, she has been running her self started do it yourself business, Pioneer Music, promoting bands, local live music and working for the Olympia Film Society since 2005. Her first promoted concert for the Society was the Jelvins (Melvins with Jello Biafra) at the 22nd annual Olympia Film Festival. Favorite things include: Dragon Boating, Fishing, going to shows, traveling, community involvement, historic preservation and BBQ.

Volunteer Coordinator – Alison Riffer
Alison spent the mid-90′s hiding behind a couch at the Gilman, but eventually she grew up and had to leave the east bay. After matriculating to Evergreen, service with AmeriCorps, and a stint in an office, Alison is thrilled to be part of an institution like the Olympia Film Society.

She knows you want to get involved too. But maybe you don’t want to tear tickets or be on a committee. That’s cool. She wants you to have the best volunteer experience possible. She’ll work with you to line up your interests with OFS’ goals so everyone wins. It’s the way her brain works; it’s how she rolls.

If you have mandated hours for school, work, or court, give her a call or send her an email so you can create a plan that fits with your life, and a position you can enjoy!

In her free time, Alison enjoys waking up, helping others, chasing cats, making art, crossing with the light and writing things down.
