Annual Election for the Board of Directors
We are seeking dedicated OFS members with experience in fundraising, managing budgets, community outreach, human resource management and/or marketing. In the coming term we will be working to improve our fiscal health, strengthen our connections with the community, and work towards improving our permanent home at the Capitol Theater.
The Board recognizes the need to focus more on fundraising than it has in the past. The decision to hire an Executive Director is the most recent step in this direction. This position will be responsible for directing OFS fundraising and development, and also function as a liaison between the Board and the staff, and in this role will be taking over some of the responsibilities currently held by the Board. This will free the Board from much of its involvement in day-to-day operations and enable a more concentrated effort on fundraising.
What are the qualifications and expectations?
The Board seeks individuals with a background or experience in fundraising, managing budgets, community
outreach, human resource management, and/or marketing. For more details about desired skills and

May 26, Saturday: Annual Membership Meeting & Membership Appreciation Party (all members in attendance witll receive this awesome book)
May 28, Monday: Deadline for ballots (Election Process posted soon)
June 1, Friday: Candidates are notified of the election results
June 6, Wednesday: First board meeting with newly elected board members.
